Dave jerked awake, gasping heavily. Even in the violent aftermath of his nightmare, he still realized something very puzzling. "I'm dead." The words sounded so strange. Stupid. "I'm... actually fucking dead." It seemed it would take him awhile to get used to the idea. Graphic references of suicide.
